Why This Reference Exists
The printed Yuma City-County directory run ends long before today's fast-growing San Luis. Its underlying record trails remain, but custody is divided. The Yuma County Assessor and Recorder hold property evidence. Arizona law controls voter access. Historical volumes and San Luis clipping files are kept through the Arizona Memory Project and Yuma County Library's Arizona Room. We assembled the verified search links, office contacts, access channels, known years, and limits in one San Luis reference.
What the Pages Provide
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- Custodians: the Yuma County Assessor, Recorder, Elections office, court clerks, vital-record offices, and Arizona Room
- Research methods: ways to follow a parcel, decode an old entry, and trace a household across several record years
- Access rules: what Arizona law opens, which records stay protected, and where to send a focused request
